Shwedemy: to the golden days
The idea of creating this site came up while I was learning through online classes during the Covid-19 period. Before starting this site, I had a hundred of questions asking myself: what do I expect from this site? Is it about business or just for fun? What should I contribute to people and how? Do I have grit to maintain it for many years? Where should I start? Endless questions but vague answers. Finally I made up my mind “Let’s take a small step!” regardless of what the result is. Then I took the online WordPress course and now here it is: our baby “Shwedemy” which is aimed as an arena to share and learn among scholars, professionals, entertainers and learners.
Last but not least, all the credits go to my hubby for the logo and home page graphic design ideas. The site could not be perfect without his help and support. Thanks for babysitting through late nights as well.

Hmone Lian Hlaing

She graduated with MEd from Shinawatra University in Bangkok. She has attained working experiences in different industries as the research assistant, a business admin executive, a former production editor of LTA (language testing in Asia) Journal for about 10 years both in Thailand and Singapore. Then she moved to San Francisco due to her husband’s further study and started a family, working on part-time freelance projects. Now she is a proud mom of her lovely daughter. She is also the boss of this “Shwedemy – ရွှေဒမီ” learning platform site, handling end-to-end publishings and content-editing. In her spare time, you will see her playing songs or spending time with her lovely daughter or watching movies.

Han Thit Nyeim

Aka Thi Han: An experienced IT Project Coordinator cum Construction and Architectural Designer with a demonstrated history of working in Software Engineering, Engineering, Architectural and Design industries. He graduated with B.Arch from Yangon Technology University, Myanmar and Msc. Project Management from Golden Gate University, USA. His writings and articles has been published across a number of online medias and social platforms. He is also the author of the books: ကျွန်တော်ဖတ်ချင်သော ပုံပြင်များ; ကောင်လေးတစ်ယောက်ရဲ့ ရာဇဝင်; အလန်းစား၊ အလန်စာ၊ အလန့်စကား; ကျွန်တော်နှင့် သူမ; and ရှေးတရုတ်ပြည်မှ အသောအထေ့များ. When he is not overloaded with his formal work, you might see him writing a song for his wife, practicing magic tricks, doing paper crafts, taking photographs, or playing with his baby daughter.

Khaing Mar Thein Win is pursuing her Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Monash University, Australia, with the Australia Award Scholarships at the moment. She achieved certificates in Academic Writing & Research Paper Writing in 2018, and Intercultural Communication in 2016 from the University of Yangon. In 2014, she studied English together with Education Policy, Governance and Leadership in Eastern Institute of Technology, Napier, and Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She also has Certificate in Teaching of English from National Center for English Language, the University of Yangon, Myanmar in 2011. She finished Bachelor of Arts (English) and Master of Arts (English) at the University of Magway, Myanmar in 2008 and 2011.
She is currently working as a lecturer at the Department of English, Yenanchaung University, Myanmar. She has over 11 years of teaching experience as a university English teacher at the University of Magway, Bammaw University, and Yenanchaung University in Myanmar. At the same time, she is also a cohort of TIDE (Transformation by Innovation in Distance Education) project for University of Magway.
Oak Soe is passionate about exercising the fortune telling, wizardry art, mythology, occultism, traditional beliefs etc. In addition, he has been practicing the hypnotism, mentalism, and fortune telling as his hobby. He is the author of several articles and books on Burmese magic squares. His recent prominent books are အလင်းပြသင်္ချာ အင်းစမပညာကျမ်း and ကြည့်ရှင်းမြင်သာ ယိကျင်းပညာ.
